Okay so a few of my lovely readers have asked how I make my inks, but its honestly really complicated and expensive and made in large quantities for witch shops. I don’t really see how it would be helpful to people at home to have my recipes. You’d have to be doing it for your own shop or to sell too—and in that case—-trade secrets.
But, for you folks at home, here are some really easy and cheap natural home inks you can make and use:
Soak coffee grounds, a lot of coffee grounds, a lot, in some hard alcohol for a month. Strain through a fine wire sieve. You have brown ink.
Mash up and soak blackberries in hard alcohol. A lot of blackberries. A lot. Then strain through a fine wire sieve. You have purple ink.
You can thicken them little with a small amount of honey.
Inks like this draw the best on parchment paper with a nib pen or a paint brush.
