Great question. Thank you. The Emperor is the archetypal patriarch, he is a father figure and lawgiver. Zeus is one of the best fits. But also Odin, Brahma, Osiris and the Dagda fit the bill. Look for the allfather head of a pantheon. Maybe of a pantheon you are already attracted to,
Here is a pathworking I recorded for meeting your patron:
Some sects of paganism have patrons and others don’t. Its normal to want to meet your patron when you get started. Some folks pick a god or goddess out of a book based on what kinds things that god or goddess likes to help with. This is a reasonable way to do it, because often patron gods and goddesses were chosen by our ancestors based on their vocation in life. You can also meet a patron in a dream, or vision, or guided meditation.
No its not weird to lose abilities. Many children are encouraged by our culture to have an enchanted world view, but then as they age, the same culture turns it around and insists they change their world view. Add to that those who are born with the sight, and often get the same conditioning to shut off that aspect of their senses.
(cont) been able to see them for a while & I’m wondering why. It has made me feel lost & sad & getting back into paganism is a bit confusing because of these lost feelings & I’m hoping finding a god/goddess will help me. Thanks for your time. Oh also would you happen to know any gods/goddesses accosicated with any of these: Cats, Wolves, Foxes, Sunflowers, Lightning/electricity, the color purple/violet? I’ve noticed being drawn to these things for some reason.
There are gods and goddesses across many cultures associated with those things. Bastet of Pasht and Freja are associated with cats. Zeus and Thor are both associated with Thunder and Lightening. I could go on and on. There are so many gods across cultures that it would be impossible to list them all. Its easiest, I think to say, hey I am gonna look into this particular pantheon. Its best to start with one that is fairly open as a culture and isn’t from an indigenous or minority culture and/or race you are not a member of. A really obvious place for many folks to start is with Classical Greek gods. There is a lot of available information out there about them and we grew up watching movies and reading stories about them. Another option is to look into your own cultural history for a group of gods to work with. And then look within that group for ones that have the attributes you mentioned.
